Though we all know that 28 February is celebrated as National Science Day in India but do you know why and for what the day is celebrated as National Science Day? We are pretty sure that you must have heard about celebrated Indian Scientist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman.
The day is celebrated to commemorate the discovery of Raman Effect on the same day in 1928 by Indian physicist and Nobel Laureate Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman in India. He was also awarded Nobel Prize in the Subject of Physics.
